La Veranda in Pompano Beach

This place is pricey yet overall, not worth it. I think it’s a very average restaurant. The food is fine, nothing special. The service was ok, but the staff spends most of its time fawning over the regulars. I get it, but as first time visitors we we didn’t feel welcomed and certainly don’t feel the need to go back. Better food, attitude and atmosphere in so many other area Italian restaurants

This spot constantly delivers. They have fantastic food for convenient rates, there are no long waits even when they are loaded.

La Veranda in Pompano Beach is a wonderful place for great Italian food. It has been around for years and is always a place that you can count on for a nice atmosphere. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are fair for the quality of the food and service. They also do a great job with large parties.

I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I love how the service is always great and they keep the spot well organized constantly. Rates are convenient and they serve large portions.

I wouldn’t recommend this place, very pricey, the food is just ok, nothing special, you have to wait for your food for a long time, the waitresses are not so helpful.We ordered chicken Marsala $27, and no pasta.dish on a side, you have to pay extra for that, really?I would never come again to that place.There are so many great Italian restaurants around with great food , reasonable price and friendly atmosphere.

Our last night in Pompano Beach was truly splendid. From the service, to the wine, the generous portions and delicious flavors, even the tiramisu, it was all absolutely delicious! Our server never missed a beat and all of the food came out at a perfect pace. Definitely a highlight of our trip to South Florida.

The place has a very nice ambiance.However, the service leaves a lot to desire. The food overall was good, not great. If you have time to waste and don't mind sitting at a table like a wake, this your place.

We have received word while dining that one of our sons have passed away. We had to leave and tried to pay our bill but they said dont worry just go. We came back later to settle up but they wouldn't let us pay. Very family driven and would recommend to all.

Great Place to have a romantic dinner. The owner Joey is so sweet! Its been there awhile and worth trying. Very old school Italian food!

Food was ok. Paid $150 for four drinks, an entree and an appetizer. The octopus was great and the service wasnt bad but way too overpriced.

Chicken parm was hard too thin and overcooked. Pasta was horrible and cooked too long. Sauce was ok. Bread was ok. Salad was not very fresh. Service was extremely slow reservation for 7 food at 9.

Couldn't ask for better food and service, both were great. If you like Italian food La Veranda is a must.

Wonderful family style Italian with very courteous staff and welcoming atmosphere. Management is top notch and when you see the owner taking pride in what's prepared for his customers, it's an icing on the cake. Will definitely return! All your dishes are fantastic!

Places like this don't exist anymore. Traditional, welcoming ambiance. The owners mingle and make sure you're enjoying not just the food, which is fantastic, but the whole experience. We will make this place a regular go to!

Great service and u will have a good night eating there

We went to La Veranda for my birthday. The first table we were seated at was next to a large party of 16. We could not hear each other they were very loud and the acoustics of the restaurant did not help. The hostess moved us and pretty much said there are no quiet tables. She was correct. Voices carried. Then the music from the bar area started and now any kind of conversation that did not involve yelling was impossible. I did get to hear every other diners opinion on everything. If you want a quiet, intimate restaurant this is not it.

We had our moms 90th birthday here on January 26, 2020. Joey took great care of us and Alex our waiter was very attentive. Everyone raved about the food and service. We were very pleased with how well everything went. Such a great party and great memoriesMichele C.

This place is great! Affordable rates, large dishes and the staff are regularly kind.

I really loved this place. The ambience, food and drinks. I enjoyed everything there. John the owner he is so nice. He has a dog named Luigi. He loves his dog. Also, he prepared a special plate for us. It was so delicious!Go there with your date, family or friends!

Phenomenal experience I highly recommend a trip there it's great for all occasions especially those that are intimate.

I felt like we were in Italy. Great service and wonderful food.

The service was very good. Our meals were great I had the calamari, clams and mussels over linguini which was huge.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. the food on the plate could be improved for the eye, the taste but very delicious. the ambience is tastefully decorated. both inside and outside. Parking is behind the restaurant. live music was also available. the prices are very fair. the toilets were clean. from me full 5 stars.

Absolutely delicious! One of our favorite places! Plus the decor is beautiful.

They say can never go back and my experience here proves it. The original tiny restaurant is no longer. I don't think the original owners would allow a iceberg salad to be served or the mixed seafood with marinara sauce to be swimming in a pool of watery sauce. Service was lacking and the food did not meet expectations. For my money I will look elsewhere in the future for Italian food.

I have been coming here since I was a kid whenever we are in Florida on holiday. Fantastic food and service and beautiful ambiance. Frank has always made us feel like family. Thanks for all the great memories!

My family and I have been going there for many years. It’s my wife’s favorite for Mother’s Day. Lovely atmosphere, especially on the beautiful outdoor Bougainvillea-filled veranda. Food and service are top-notch.

Excellent service and atmosphere. Took us in on my birthday when it was an hour before closing, so we practically had the place to ourselves. Octopus appetizer was delightful; eggplant parm was scrumptious. Free dessert because it was my birthday. 🤗🙌
